**Short answer**

Yes. Piriform's CCleaner for Mac comes in Free, Professional and Professional Plus editions. All three clean junk, find duplicates, uninstall apps and manage startup items; the paid ones add photo analysis and scheduled browser and Trash cleaning. Its product page still lists system requirements only up to macOS 13, so check it supports your macOS before you buy.

### What does CCleaner for Mac include?

The edition table on [CCleaner's Mac page](https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac), read on 4 November 2026:

| Feature | Free | Professional | Professional Plus |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Devices | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Clean unwanted clutter | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Find duplicate files | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Uninstall apps, manage startup items | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Analyze photos (blurry, badly lit, near-identical) | No | Yes | Yes |
| Clean browsers and empty the Trash on a schedule | No | Yes | Yes |
| CCleaner for PC and Android included | No | No | Yes |

The page does not print prices; they appear at checkout and vary by country, so we have not quoted one. Its browser cleaning includes history, cookies and saved autofill data, which is a privacy feature rather than a space one: clearing autofill removes saved form entries you may want to keep.

### Does it support current macOS?

The system requirements on the same page list macOS 13 Ventura, 12, 11, 10.15, 10.14, 10.13 and 10.12. macOS 14, 15, 26 and 27 are not named. That may only mean the page has not been updated, but it is the maker's own statement, so on a current Mac download the free edition and check it runs properly before paying for Professional.

If you came from CCleaner on Windows, expect a smaller app. The Mac version has no registry cleaner (macOS has no registry), and its "speed up" features come down to removing apps and startup items, which macOS also lets you do in System Settings, General, Login Items & Extensions.

### What are the alternatives on a Mac?

| Tool | Runs on | Price and licence | How it shows space |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| CCleaner for Mac | macOS 10.12 to 13 listed by the maker | Free; Professional (1 Mac) and Professional Plus (3 devices) paid, price at checkout | Cleaner, no disk map |
| CleanMyMac | macOS 11+ | App Store: $39.99 a year, or $89.99 one-time in-app purchase | Space Lens map plus cleaner |
| OnyX | One version per macOS; 5.1.2 for macOS 27 (Apple silicon) | Free, donations welcome | Maintenance tasks, no disk map |
| AppCleaner | macOS 15+ (3.7); 3.6.8 for 10.14 to 15.6 | Free, donations welcome | App uninstaller only |
| Bytesweep | macOS 14+; Windows 10 and 11; Linux | $29.99 once per computer; 3-day trial | Nine views on Mac incl. map, list, sunburst, flame |

Prices and versions read on each maker's site on 4 November 2026. Bytesweep's version is the current Mac and Windows release.

- **CleanMyMac** (MacPaw) is the best-known all-in-one Mac cleaner. On the Mac App Store it is a subscription ($39.99 a year) or a one-time in-app purchase of $89.99, for macOS 11 or later.
- **OnyX** is free and does what CCleaner does not: runs macOS's own maintenance scripts, rebuilds indexes and clears system caches. There is one version per macOS release. [More about OnyX](https://bytesweep.app/alternatives/onyx-alternative.html).
- **AppCleaner** is free and does one CCleaner job well: removing an app together with the files it left in your Library.
- **Built in:** System Settings, General, Storage covers emptying the Trash automatically and removing big files. [The Mac's equivalent of Disk Cleanup](https://bytesweep.app/answers/disk-cleanup-on-mac.html) maps each job.

### What do CCleaner-style apps not show you?

A cleaner's junk list answers "what can I delete". It rarely answers "what is filling my disk", which on a Mac is usually a few large folders no junk list touches: Time Machine local snapshots, Xcode data, a Docker disk image, iPhone backups, local AI models and cloud files kept on the Mac. Those are counted in the grey [System Data](https://bytesweep.app/mac-system-data.html) part of the storage bar. Before you pay for any cleaner, see what is actually there; [finding large files](https://bytesweep.app/answers/find-large-files-on-mac.html) and [checking folder sizes](https://bytesweep.app/answers/see-folder-sizes-on-mac.html) take a few minutes with built-in tools.

### Where does Bytesweep fit?

Bytesweep covers CCleaner for Mac's space jobs (junk, duplicates, app uninstalling with leftovers, startup items) and adds the disk map those jobs leave out: one scan shown nine ways, with the big Mac folders named and rated safe, review first or keep. Cleaned files go to a restore point and can be put back for 7 days; the exceptions, such as deleting local Time Machine snapshots, are actions macOS performs itself and are marked before you confirm. It does not scan for malware, beyond a local check for known adware.

It needs macOS 14 or later, which is the opposite end of the range from CCleaner's listed requirements, and runs on Windows and Linux too. It is free to try for 3 days, then $29.99 once per computer to clean, with no subscription.
