## Apps and leftovers

Removing an app often leaves files behind. ByteSweep finds them.

### Uninstall an app

On Mac

1. Open **Apps**.
2. Choose the app and press **Uninstall**.
3. Read the review, then confirm.

Undo puts it all back for 7 days.

On Windows and Linux

1. Open **Apps**. Tabs:**All Apps**,**Large Apps**,**Unused Apps**,**Leftovers**and**Extensions**.
2. Choose the app and press **Uninstall…**. The app's own uninstaller runs.
3. ByteSweep then looks for leftovers.

### Clean leftovers from old apps

On Mac

Press **Clean Leftovers**to see what apps you already removed left behind. Extensions has**Only extensions left behind**.

On Windows and Linux

Open the **Leftovers** tab.
