### Find and remove duplicates

On Mac

1. Open **Duplicates**.
2. Press **Add Folder…** and choose where to look.
3. Pick a rule, or tick by hand: **All but the newest**,**All but the oldest**,**By size — keep the largest file**,**By resolution — keep the largest**or**By location — keep copies in a folder…**.
4. Review, then clean.

On Windows and Linux

1. Open **Duplicates**.
2. Press **Scan a folder…**, or**Scan my folders again**.
3. Tick the copies to remove.
4. Confirm. They go to the Recycle Bin on Windows and the Trash on Linux.

Similar is not identical. Those are different files that look alike, so nothing is selected until you choose which to keep.
