## Updates

One list of app updates, from wherever each app came from.

### Update your apps

On Mac

Open **Updates**. Sources: the app's maker, the Mac App Store, Homebrew, GitHub and macOS. Press**Update All**, or update one by one.

Under **When updates are found**, choose**Just tell me**,**Install security fixes quietly**or**Install everything**.

On Windows

Open **Updates**and press**Check for updates**. It covers winget, Chocolatey and Scoop. Then**Update selected**or**Update everything…**.

On Linux

Open **Updates**and press**Check for updates**. It covers APT, DNF, pacman, zypper, Flatpak and Snap. pacman offers**Update everything** only.

### Update ByteSweep itself

On Mac

Settings → **General**→**ByteSweep updates**. The App Store edition updates through the App Store.

On Windows

The Microsoft Store updates it.

On Linux

Download the new package and install it the same way as [the first time](https://bytesweep.app/docs/setup/install.html).
