What each tool does, and how it differs between iPhone and Android.

### Swipe Review

On iPhone

Pick a month. Swipe left to remove, right to keep. The end summary leads to Review.

On Android

Open **Swipe review by month**. Drag left to mark for trash, right to keep, or use the buttons.

### Ask Your Photos

Describe what you want, such as "Receipts from last year" or "My passport". Questions are read in English. Videos aren't searched.

### Shrink

On iPhone

**Shrink Videos**and**Shrink Photos** make a smaller copy. The original stays until you tick it in Review: that's what frees the space.

On Android

**Shrink**has**Photos**and**Videos**tabs. For video, choose**Same resolution, better codec**or**Down to 1080p**. Then**Review the originals** to free the space.

### Private Vault

On iPhone

Hides items behind Face ID or Touch ID. The vault doesn't move to a new iPhone, and deleting Bytesweep destroys it, so keep other copies of anything that matters.

On Android

Hides items behind your screen lock. They live only inside Bytesweep and are gone if you uninstall it.

### Contacts and calendar

On iPhone

**Duplicate Contacts** merges sets and finds cards with no number, email or name. Calendar and Reminders clean-ups are permanent.

On Android

**Duplicate Contacts** merges cards; a merge can't be undone here. Calendar finds old, cancelled and duplicate events, and removal is permanent. Notification cleaner clears the ones that piled up.

### Remove location

Makes clean copies of photos without their location, to share.
